In 2001 the LORD allowed me to become the Pastor of a small group of believers in Laramie, Wyoming after being a member of the same congregation for many years. One of my greatest joys is serving God at Cornerstone Baptist Church. It has been exciting to see how God blessed our family at Cornerstone. God has blessed us by surrounding us with people who love the Lord, desire to see others come to know Him as Saviour and look to the Bible as their guide for life.
Cornerstone opened its doors to the residents and visitors of Laramie, Wyoming in 1990 as an independent Baptist church. For many years we met at 1301 South 5th Street. In 2009, the church members started to work on a new worship facility located at 590 N. Pierce Street. The congregation relocated to a portion of the former American Collision Center in 2010. The full build-out of this new Pierce Street church building was completed in the summer of 2012. In 2016 we experienced a fire in the north end of the church. After nine months in a rental facility (Eppson Center for Seniors), the damage was repaired and we moved back into our renewed building.
Our ministry team remains devoted to the Word of God. We preach Christ crucified, risen, and coming again. Our vision is to engage the people of Laramie to Come — Grow — Unite — Serve.
